We help you to prepare high-quality project proposals for highly competitive national and international calls. CERENA has a pre-call open to prepare submissions for Scientific Employment Stimulus and to Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships, two competitive programs for granting a researcher contract.
Who?
We are looking for any national and foreign candidate(s) holding a Ph.D. degree in a research area related to CERENA’s main research lines: energy, environment and raw materials. We seek highly motivated researchers with ability for independent and creative research and a strong publication track-recording. Good English skills are essential. We advise to carefully revise the eligibility criteria for both programs. CERENA may give some guidance and help to obtain the required administrative documents to apply for the calls.

Candidates must submit a single PDF document * with a motivation letter, a brief description of a potential research plan and the Curriculum Vitae, both written in English. All information should not exceed 4 pages.

We are looking for a motivated researcher to join the EAGER project and contribute to cutting-edge research in geophysics, modelling and data science.
The call is open to PhD holders until 2nd September 2026. The application should be submitted here and should have the following documents:
- Copy of PhD Certificate or diploma;
- PhD Thesis or equivalent document that determined the award of the Doctor title;
- Detailed CV as requested in the call;
- Scientific project, focusing on autonomous multi-sensor data acquisition systems for mapping and geomodelling;
- Other documents that the candidate considers relevant to the application.

CERENA develops research at the highest level of excellence related to the sustainable use of natural resources, including energy, as well as their impact on the environment. CERENA uses an approach that is simultaneously integrative, multidisciplinary and multi-scale, from the molecular level to the planetary scale, where researchers from different scientific fields - earth, chemical and material engineering - converge towards the same objectives.
