Tuğçe Demir completed her PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2024 and her Master’s degree in 2017 in Environmental Engineering, both at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University, Türkiye. She is a postdoctoral researcher with the CERENA group at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal. Her MSc studies focused primarily on atmospheric pollutants, while her PhD work has emphasized environmental technologies, particularly deep-dewatering systems for waste-activated sludge and their impact on air quality. Her future scientific research interests focus on the valorization of biomass for resource recovery and energy production.
