Geothermal Energy and the Future of the Energy Transition

Citizen Science at its finest: professor Amílcar Soares is going to give a public talk about the importance of geothermal energy to speed up European energy transition towards a sustainable and renewable system.

The conference will focus on the concept of hot dry rocks - high-temperature rock formations, and will illustrate how technology from the oil and gas industry is starting to be used to tap into geothermal energy, a key player in the clean energy transition. Real-world examples of companies and projects pushing this forward will show how geothermal is set to become a major part of our renewable energy future.
