Master's Degree Helder Esteves is an Environmental Engineer graduated from the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies in 2005 and the Instituto Superior de Agronomia in 2012. His master's dissertations were: Contribution to the implementation of an Environmental Management System in the District Hospital of Santarém and later The Indoor Air Quality Assessment in the Imaging Division of the same Hospital. After the master's degree, he took a post-graduate degree in Safety and Hygiene at Work at Instituto Superior Técnico, postgraduate studies in Safety Coordination at TUV Akademie Reinland and the MBA in Business Management at the Instituto de Especialização Profissional. He is currently a Research Fellow at the Center for Natural Resources and Environment (CERENA) at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering within the framework of the CERASAFE project - Safe Production and Use of Nanomaterials in the Ceramic Industry, where he joined two research centers, o CIEQB in Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa e o CERENA in Instituto Superior Técnico, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. João Bordado and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. João Gomes. His main research interests are in the targeted and accidental production of nanoparticles in the ceramic industry.
